Two Black men a week
1x52’ - Current Affairs
Some statistics are spine-chilling: in the USA, a young black man is 21 times more likely to be killed by the police than a young white man.
Every week, two black people will be shot by the police. So what's going wrong between the police and the black community in the US? Recent news has put this issue back on the agenda: riots in Ferguson (Missouri), protests in New York after Eric Garner was choked to during an abusive arrest, but also real outcry after the death of 12 year old boy, Tamir Rice, at the hands of the police.
Every time, the same questions arise: why this disproportionate use of force? What are the authorities doing to fight the police's abusive behaviour? An investigation into the heart of America, where people are starting to question whether the police force is racist.
